Loukia Ioannou, CFA
Principal
Loukia joined Cronje & Yiannas Actuaries and Consultants in 2016 and is a CFA Charterholder.
In her role as Principal at C.Y Actuaries, Loukia has been involved in a diverse range of projects. Her work focuses on supporting retirement schemes, organisations and insurance companies in Cyprus and Greece on investment related matters such as investment strategy design, selection of asset managers, plan design, performance monitoring and governance. Loukia has also worked extensively with several multinational corporations in Greece in the review of their pension arrangements.
Furthermore, Loukia provides consulting support to human resources departments on topics such as performance appraisal processes and the design and implementation of wellbeing frameworks, with a particular focus on financial wellbeing. She has been heavily involved in delivering financial literacy presentations and content as well as raising awareness on gender inequality through gender pay and pensions gap studies. Additionally, Loukia has been involved in the company’s corporate consulting offering, focusing on company valuations and M&A activity.
Prior to joining C.Y Actuaries, Loukia was part of Aon Hewitt’s Global Investment Practice in London and Cyprus, advising institutional investors for more than 7 years. At Aon Hewitt, she advised pension funds, provident funds, and insurance companies across Europe and the Middle East on a wide range of general investment consulting issues. These included the design and implementation of investment strategies, asset-liability studies, and portfolio monitoring. Loukia was also involved in numerous asset manager selections and Trustee training sessions.
Previously, Loukia worked as a derivatives structurer at BNP Paribas in London, where she provided interest rate solutions to corporate and institutional clients for investment and liability hedging purposes.

- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Investment Management Certificate (IMC)
- MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge (UK)
- BSc (First Class Hons) in Statistics and Operational Research from University College London (UK)
