Marios is a Founder and Director of Cronje & Yiannas Actuaries and Consultants Ltd and a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the United Kingdom.
In his role at C.Y Actuaries, Marios advises corporate clients on human resources, business planning and reorganization. He also advises pension funds, provident funds, and insurance companies on investment, design, funding, and governance matters.
Marios led Aon Hewitt’s investment consulting services in Cyprus, Greece and the region from 2006 to 2011. This role involved designing and implementing investment strategies for Pension Funds, Provident Funds and Insurance Companies, as well as asset manager selections and trustee training.
After graduating, Marios joined Watson Wyatt in London where he trained and qualified as a consulting actuary for four years in the area of pensions and investments. During his time at Watson Wyatt he was heavily involved with funding and accounting actuarial valuations for numerous pension funds. He also trained in the areas of investment strategy for defined benefit funds and scheme design.
Marios holds the following qualifications:
- Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK (FIA)
- Fellow of the Cyprus Association of Actuaries (FCAA)
- Member of the International Actuarial Association
- BSc (First Class Hons) in Actuarial Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK)
