Stephan Cronje, FFA

Stephan is a Founder and Director of Cronje & Yiannas Actuaries and Consultants Ltd and a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the United Kingdom.
Since establishing C.Y Actuaries, Stephan has been responsible for building the actuarial and human resource consulting team and conducting a number of actuarial studies for companies, private and public pension funds and insurance companies based in Greece and Cyprus. In addition, he is a professional trustee for a number of pension funds in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
Before co-founding the company, Stephan provided actuarial consulting advice to a large number of corporate and public-sector clients in Europe, the United States, the Middle East and South Africa for more than 15 years, holding consulting positions with some of the largest actuarial consulting firms in the world.
After graduating, Stephan joined Alexander Forbes, an actuarial consulting firm in South Africa. In 1999, he moved to the UK where he worked for Watson Wyatt in London as an actuary for five years in the area of pensions and investments. He moved to New York where he worked in the International Benefits Practice of Watson Wyatt for a further three years. From 2007 to 2010 Stephan led the Hewitt Associates S A (Greece) Retirement and Financial Services team for the Middle East and coordinated the worldwide Social Security consulting offer.
Stephan holds the following qualifications:

- Fellow of the Cyprus Association of Actuaries (FCAA)
- Fellow of the Hellenic Actuarial Society (FHAS)
- Member of the International Actuarial Association
- B Comm Hons Mathematics from University of Stellenbosch (South Africa)
- LLB Hons (Law) from Nottingham Law School (United Kingdom)
